Stuart has been shooting photos since his early teens. He then went on to study photography at Salisbury College of Art and Design. Being surrounded by friends working within the film, theatre and television industry he naturally started to shoot actors headshots and theatre productions. This close relationship with people within the industry has given him valuable experience and knowledge of what is required to make a 'stand out of the crowd' actors headshot and a photograph that helps to sell a play in a London theatre. Since starting he has worked in numerous spheres of the entertainment industry taking photographs. Shooting headshots of actors for over a decade.

His work also includes theatre production and rehearsal photographs, publicity shots and poster images as well as film stills, album covers, photographs of singers, bands and concerts.

Stuart’s headshot clients can be seen in Casualty, Holby City, Doctors, Eastenders, Merlin, Coronation Street, Law & Order, The Hour, Inspector Lewis, Reggie Perrin, Lennon Naked, The Real American: Joe McCarthy, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Ironclad, television commercials, Macbeth at the National Theatre and Romeo and Juliet at Shakespeare’s Globe.

He has had work featured in various magazines including American Theatre, Irish Theatre Magazine, The Mail on Sundays Live Magazine, Kerang!, Time Out, The Dubliner and HiFi+. Numerous arts sections of national and regional newspapers and other publications including The Stage, The Irish Times, the books Theatre History Explained by Neil Fraser, Shivered by Philip Ridley, Transformation & Revelation and BBC's Newsnight Review. Plus work exhibited at the UK Design for Performance.
Recent work has included photographs of the theatre productions 'John Ferguson' directed by Emma Faulkner at Finborough Theatre, 'Over The Bridge' at Finborough Theatre, Reading From Shakespeare’s First Folio with Sam West and Timothy West, directed by Poppy Burton-Morgan at V&A Lecture Theatre, 'The December Man/L'homme de decembre' directed by Lavinia Hollands at Finborough Theatre, 'A Midummer Night's Dream' at Theatre Royal Haymarket, Waiting For Lefy directed by Tinuke Craig at Theatre Royal Haymarket, 'La Fille a la Mode' at The Theatre Royal Haymarket, 'The Early Bird' at the Finborough Theatre with Catherine Cusack and Alex Palmer, 'Edmund' at The Theatre Royal Haymarket.

Photography of the blues guitarist and vocalist 'Larry Miller' for HiFi+, Royal Shakespeare Company, The National Theatre and English National Opera workshops and ongoing photography for 'The Theatre Royal Haymarket - Masterclasses'. This has included photographing actors such as Ewan McGregor, Michael Sheen, Joan Collins, Sienna Miller, Sir Anthony Sher, Joanna Lumley, Samantha Bond, Charles Dance, Alison Steadman and Dame Eileen Atkins. As well as this Stuart has taken photographs of the 'Theatre Royal Haymarket' for use in their programmes.

Stuart also teaches Adobe Lightroom software on a one to one basis to other photographers. He also took the first photograph on the last British made and designed Gandolfi camera, the Gandolfi Variant when it was being tested before it's official launch.
