Robert Barfoot Headshots

Robert Barfoot is coming back into the industry after a 5 year break. I took his new headshots recently in Bath. Robert wanted to have two sets of headshots taken on the day, one with his beard and another with it shaven off. This was to maximise his range of playing roles. So half way through we took a break whilst Robert shaved it off. Later on I was told Roberts dog did a double take when he got home as he did not at first recognise him! Robert originally trained at the Academy Drama School in London.

Gilgamesh

These are some of the photographs I took last year for Aldateateret who are a Norwegian theatre company. The production is called Gilgamesh. It is a 5000 years old story of a king who thinks he is immortal. He was the king of Uruk in Babylonia which is what is now known as part of Iraq. He lived in about 2700 BC.

The production was being workshoped in a dance studio in London for four days before I photographed it and was partly funded by the Norwegian Arts Council. The team of people that worked on the production are martial artists, gymnasts, dancers, musicians and physical theatre specialists and were chosen for their skills, to perform fights as a tool to tell the story.
