Websites...

Keep it simple
The best way to attract people to your website and to encourage them to return is to keep the design clean and simple. A well designed website will be easy to navigate around, lead you into no dead end links and load quickly.

For example a website for an actor should have all the information to hand that a casting director, director, producer or agent will be looking for. As they don't have time to waste, it should be easy to find and load quickly. If it is a CV they need to read you want it to show on their computer screen full width and then be easy to download. If it is a showreel you want to load quickly but to still maintain maximum quality. Even better you want them to be able to access it with the latest technology such as Apples iPhone or iPod touch if required and be able to watch the showreel full screen using them. If required you want the option of people to be able to see your headshot photographs and production photographs you are in, nice and large. All this can be done.

The service
A full website service is available which unlike the more usual template website designs that are offered to actors, can be tailored to meet individual needs. This allows for higher quality showreels to be streamed and photographs to be the size that you want on the website and other additional features that template websites do not allow. Unlike the websites offered by some cast listing companies your site will not have a direct link back into their website so the casting director can start searching for other possible actors instead of casting you.

Who do we design for?
Website design is available for actors, theatre companies, directors, producers, directors of photography, singers, musicians and many more.

Additional services
In additional to designing websites additional services which are sometimes needed for websites are available. These include:

  • Conversion of showreels and short films to Quicktime movies.
  • Conversion of DVDs to Quicktime and DV.
  • Transfer of VHS to Quicktime and DV.
  • Editing of showreels.
  • Transfer of cassette tapes to MP3 files.
  • Editing of existing voice work into voicereels.
  • Retouching and restoration of photographs.
  • Full CV service.

Showreel editing
Although music can be added at the beginning of a showreel for you with a quick montage of clips it is recommended this is not done. The reason? Because casting directors and agents hate them. They will tell you all they want to do is start watching you act as quickly as possible in the showreel. If anything, with a music introduction they are far more likely just to hit the stop button. So to improve your chances of getting a casting we do suggest not doing this.

Charges
Websites cost are based on a per page charge, which includes the designing of CVs. Other services are subject to individual costs depending on what is required. Various blog options are available if required. If you would like to have a website built or have any questions at all please get in contact.
